Permasalahan Waktu pada System Dual-boot

Anda menggunakan multi-boot OS pada PC anda?? Misalnya Ubuntu dan Windows. Perhatikan jam setiap kali masuk di masing-masing OS. Apakah berbeda?? Jika yaa.. ini solusinya:

Google SketchUp 7 sudah dirilis. Apa saja fitur baru di versi 7 ini ?

• Crossing lines break automatically

Membuat CD Installasi Microsoft Office 2007 Pribadi (part 2)

Bada dulu bagian pertama Membuat CD Installasi Microsoft Office 2007 Pribadi.

Menambahkan Add-on

Download file berikut:

• Save as PDF and XPS
• Microsoft Office 2007 SP1

File diatas tidak perlu anda download semua. Cukup yang anda butuhkan saja. Atau download file update terbaru di http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads/default.aspx.

Setelah selesai, buka Command Prompt. Ketikkan nama file diikuti /extract. Misal SaveAsPDFandXPS.exe /extract. Pilih folder Updates di folder D:\Office12 (diasumsikan anda meng-copy semua file Microsoft Office 2007 di D:\Office12).

And now… setiap anda install Office 2007, Add-on Save As PDF and XPS selalu diinstall juga. Burn kedalam CD.

Membuat CD Installasi Microsoft Office 2007 Pribadi

Anda tentu sudah tau cara install Microsoft Office 2007. Seringkali user awam meng-install Microsoft Office 2007 tanpa melakukan custom, karena lebih mudah.

Saya ilustrasikan dalam bentuk cerita.

Samwan adalah seorang mahasiswa yang sering bekerja dengan tabel spreadsheet, melakukan persentasi dan menulis dokumen. Samwan juga termasuk orang yang memiliki hobi meng-install ulang Windows nya , karena sering terkena virus dan tidak mau menggunakan anti-virus karena alasan “bikin lambat komputer”. Samwan juga tidak memiliki akses internet. Sehingga update anti-virus juga merupakan masalah untuknya.

Setiap kali selesai melakukan install ulang Windows, Samwan juga harus meng-install Microsoft Office. Karena terlalu sering, Samwan malas memilih Custom. Alhasil Microsoft Access, Microsoft Groove, Microsoft Outlook, dan lain-lain yang tidak dipergunakannya juga ikut ter-install menyebabkan ruang kosong pada hard drive-nya menjadi sedikit. Setiap kali install Microsoft Office 2007, dia juga harus memasukkan product key.

So… bagaimana solusinya agar tidak harus memasukkan product key? Ikuti langkah berikut.

1. Copy semua isi CD Microsoft Office ke hard drive.
2. Cari file config.xml (untuk Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise ada di folder Enterprise.WW).
3. Buka config.xml dengan text-editor (e.g notepad).
4. Hilangkan tanda <!– dan –> pada <PIDKEY Value=”XXXXXXXXXXXXXX” />.
5. Ganti XXXXXXXXXXXXXX dengan serial number yang benar.
6. Hilangkan juga tanda <!– dan –> pada <Display Level=”full” CompletionNotice=”yes” SuppressModal=”no” AcceptEula=”no” />.
7. Ganti dengan <Display Level=”full” CompletionNotice=”yes” SuppressModal=”no” AcceptEula=”yes” />.
8. Save.

Dan coba jalankan setup.exe sekarang. Hip..hip.. Horay.. tidak perlu memasukkan serial number.

Office Customization Tool

Nahh sekarang bagaimana cara agar hanya meng-install aplikasi yang dibutuhkan saja?

Masuk ke Command Prompt. Jalankan setup.exe dengan parameter /admin. Misalnya anda meng-copy isi CD Microsoft Office 2007 tadi ke D:\Office12. Pada command prompt ketikkan D:\Office12\setup.exe /admin.

Akan muncul Office Customization Tool seperti gambar dibawah ini.

Pilih Lisensing user interface. Masukkan Product Key. Tandai “I accept the terms in the Lisense Agreement”. Ganti Display level menjadi Basic.

Pilih “Set feature installation states”. Matikan komponent Office yang tidak anda butuhkan.

Setelah semua selesai, pilih file Save. Simpan dengan nama custom.msp dan letakkan di folder Office12.

Buat file dengan nama setup.bat di folder Office12. Isi dengan @setup.exe /adminfile custom.msp dan Save.

Tadaaa… sekarang anda hanya perlu menjalankan setup.bat untuk meng-install Microsoft Office sesuai dengan konfigurasi anda sendiri. Langsung burn ke CD. Kalau nggak, ntar gak sesuai dengan judul artikel ini.

Bagi yang tidak tau cara membuat file setup.bat, masuk ke Command prompt lalu ketikkan copy con D:\Office12\setup.bat. Lalu ketik @setup.exe /adminfile custom.msp , dan tekan Ctrl+Z, Enter. Cara dari GUI saya harap ada komentator yang mau membantu.
